Death penalty foes have their say
The Albany hearings were yesterday. The Times Union has an article covering the hearings:
On Tuesday, a panel of state Assembly members heard hours of testimony during a hearing on the issue at the Legislative Office Building that drew a standing-room-only crowd. Those in attendance included members of the clergy, parents of murder victims, professors, prosecutors, and even wrongly convicted men.
We had a screening of Deadline at The Albany Public Library and for legistlators. Katy Chevigny will write a blog in the next day or so with all of the details.

I'm super interested in how the screening went in Albany. I've been talking about Deadline at Sundance. With films like After Innocence and Shakespear Behind Bars, the criminal justice system is again a popular subject for docs at Sundance.
