Frances Newton Clemency Petition
I read Frances Newton's Clemency Petition. It's disturbing all around. How can death penalty cases be carried out when there is even a shadow of doubt? This clemency petition points out numberous inconsistencies. My main question is how come its taken so long for her case to get the attention she's getting now? She's been on death row since the late 80s!
6. Additional Investigation is Required.
As will be discussed more below, Frances Newton?s case has never been adequately investigated by any of her appointed attorneys. Whether the deaths of Adrian, Alton, and Farrah Newton were drug-related has not been investigated by anybody, and there are leads that need to be followed up on. Specifically, investigation needs to be conducted with respect to Adrian's drug supplier, Charlie. Charlie is not a fictional character that was simply made up by Frances Newton. His name was given to officers on the night of the murder both by Adrian's brother, Terrence Lewis, and by Frances' father, Bee Nelms, who each independently told detectives that Charlie was Adrian's supplier and that Adrian was currently in debt to him at the time he was killed. Frances requires adequate time to pursue this credible lead that has yet to be investigated.

The reason it has taken so long is because of the system took it's time in her appeals. The attorneys supposley helping her file plea of innocence did not do as she wished. They filed to change sentence to life instead. Frances on record for crying out for help, however, no money, no help. She repeadly asked to file plea of innocence and no attorney did in now. Thats why its getting attention because the system is about to make history. God will take care of all who denied her her rights to a fair trial and representation. Instead make the money by keeping her in jail so long and we have to pay for it. That's wrong. Give the 64,000 dollars it cost a year to house times 5 and I'm sure she'll get off free and clear. But no one wants to help indigent people that don't have money and don't know we don't know, HELP!!!!! God said, Thou shalt no kill! We say God Bless AMerica! Jesus went on the cross for us and he was innocent. Well Frances You will live again in Paradise!!!! People just seem to Forget how we all got over.

Guilty or not guilty? That's not the point. The point is: no country can be called a Civilized Nation if death penalty subsists there.

When our government, whether State or Federal can take the arrorgant initiative to make the decision to execute someone despite not only lingering questionable evidence that should be addressed; but also the history that appears in question with the Houston Police Department's crime investigative techniques.
Not only were the original Trial Attorneys incompetant, but it is documented and confessed by one of the team members. The Lead Attorney has been responsible for sending over 60 others to their deaths by way of execution.
This is indeed the "Sign" of the times in which we live and as long as "Man" continues to make the rules; the France Newton's of the world as history tells us will continue to experience this type of injustice.

There are so many unexplained questions however
Frances deserves the chance at a fair trial. I agree with comment listed above God said that "thou shall not kill " I pray that she gets the help that she needs so she can put this behind her and start a new life. Those that believe that she is guilty will see later that she had no chance to prove them wrong, God Bless You Frances Newton!

I Pray:
Please God, let thy will be done. I wish that Frances, as your child, would receive whatever plan You have in store for her. Grant her the wisdom to understand that in You all things are possible. If innocent, give her and her supporters the knowledge, strength, and the will to win her release and to exonerate her. If guilty, give her the knowledge that You know and that no man can judge her, only You. Let her believe that if she asks for forgiveness that it is there for her in a way that man cannot and give her peace.
I Pray:
That we as a nation would not invoke the ultimate penalty. We all will make it there someday, without the shadow of discrimination or human error. For, when God calls you home, there is no discrimination nor error. Lord be with us, in this our time of need.
Amen

I think the case should be investigated definately. I also believe in the death penalty. "An eye for an eye". In our broken down society the death penalty is needed. Does one not have to be held accountable for his or her actions. I believe so. With all of the liberal nonsense the murderers have more rights than anyone. That is complete nonsense. Why not murder, rape, kill children when you can live out your life sheltered, fed, and warm???? If you don't want to be put to death, don't do the crime.

I think with all what I could read on the net about Frances , she is probably innocent.
Hopefully the new situation will give her a chance to live.

Gandhi said that an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. Think about it.
Wipe out the death penalty, not Frances Newton.

The death penalty, maybe? But our justice system is poor and corrupt! You're more likely to be executed when you're black and poor, than if you're rich and white. That is a problem. Our society gives leniancy to the rich, and screws over the poor people. Francis Newton is a perfect example of this. I could understand if she killed her husband, but her kids?? Before we know it we are going to be in the days of the Salem witch trials. All is that I do know is that if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time, you better know a great lawyer, because what is stopping you or me from the same fate as Frances.
