Human Rights Watch Travelling Film Festival
As we mentioned a few weeks ago, Deadline will be a part of Human Rights Watch's Travelling Film Festival. There are so many great, social-issue films that are a part of this festival, Juvies (which I have been dying to see), Repatriation, Persons Of Interest (which I saw at Sundance and was amazed at just how harrowing the stories of these former detainees were) and many more.
We have some dates from them of where the film is going to be but it's still vague. September the film will be in Portland, OR. October the film will be in Pleasantville, NY and in November, the film will be in Portland, ME. You can get the specifics on our screenings page.
You should check out their website because they have a great interview with Katy as well as a fantastic resource page that shows how to set up a screening and how to do outreach for your screening of the film. We're still not 100% sure how involved we will be with these screenings, meaning whether we are going to attend or not but we'll keep you in the loop. I know that we have some friends and family in both Portlands so we might want to make some guest appearances.
