Medellin v. Dretke
The Death Penalty Information Center is exactly that: great information on the death penalty.
They are an amazing resource for questions and answers about Medellin v. Dretke. This is further information related to the Deadline post on March 14.
Oral arguments are scheduled for March 28, 2005. The question the Supreme Court is poised to answer is whether United States courts must give effect to the decision of the ICJ (The International Court of Justice). Because President Bush has ordered the U.S. courts to do just that, it is uncertain how the Supreme Court will proceed.

I think that the death penalty is cruel and unusual punishment. The number of executions have gone up since Bush has become President. Amendments 5, 8, 10, and 14 are all violated.

i believe if their is enough credible evidence on a suspect and the crime is gruesome then they should recieve the death penalty. in fact with some sexual crimes where children are involved and the accused is a repeat offender i more than agree. i do not think it wise to waste millions of dollars a year to keep these ill individuals in prisons. we could use that money to better this country instead they are being wasted to house these CONVICTED criminals. these men and women on death row get meals every day,yet we have thousands of innocent americans who are looking for food in trash cans! do you see the logic?
