North Carolina Gets Opinionated

Make the death penalty fairN.C. should halt executions while fixing system of capital punishment
From David Neal, spokesman for the North Carolina Coalition for a Moratorium and Executive Director of the Fair Trial Initiative:
Nearly all N.C. policy makers agree that the death penalty is in need of a thorough review. More than 60 percent of North Carolinians agree we need a temporary halt to executions while this review of the death penalty is conducted to ensure fairness in these life or death cases.
Innocent people have been put through the horror of being sentenced to death and waiting for their turn in the execution chamber. The families of innocent victims are ill-served by a capital sentencing system that purports to offer finality and closure, but in fact results in the reversal of the death sentence because of egregious error in more than two-thirds of the cases.
Everyone -- the victims' family, the accused and the people of North Carolina -- deserve better. Our state needs a fair and just system to sort out who gets the death penalty and who does not. The present system plainly isn't such a system.

I have a son on death row who was convicted with the evidence coming back negative. He was indicted before the evidence came back. There was one attorney who had just graduated from law school, one who was removed becaused he was arrested, one who falsified a document in concert with the asst to the attorney general, they willfully typed a document, and said one of Jeff's attorneys did it, he said he didn't, he talked to the attorney on the phone, and said he wasn't qualified to be on Jeff's case. It was never signed nor dated by this attorney. That is fraud and misrepresentation of the truth, however nothing has been done to the asst atty gen., but we demanded the attorneys be removed and they were allowed to withdraw with no repramand by the bar or the court. One attorney just moved out of NC and desertrd his clients. No one knew in the legal system until I called them. Is this justice? I don't think so. How many others has the asst attorney general done this to. Look at the crime lab that was in the paper, a mess. How can this kind of things go on ? Jeff was framed and I won't stop until I prove it. The Moratorium has to pass so the mess can be straightened out in NC and no more innocent people being murdered by the state. This can happen to anyone. Peggy Kandies

Just exactly how was Jeff framed??
After 3 or 4 days with Natalie missing, Jeff led the police to her body , put into garbage bags and hid in a closet in HIS home, and then confessed to killing her.
Why confess to something you didn't do?
How did he know where the body was?
I was a spectator in the courtroom for the trial and the evidence convinced me that Jeff did it and the jurors as well.

If you were in the court room during trial, you had to have saw the mother laughing and clowning around with her friend. Wouldn't that make you wonder what really happened? She never cried nor was she acting like a mother who had lost a child. Lt Brady who was over the jail told me and my mother that he heard the sheriff and the prosecutor say they were going to have to let Jeff go, because there was no evidence to convict him. I have a copy of the FBI and SBI reports that said there was no evidence to connect Jeff. How could they have indicted Jeff before the reports came back negative? Jeff didn't confess to killing her. The father had been accused of molesting her and named by Natalie, not Jeff she said. Lt Brady asked me if Jeff would cover for anyone. Pat was pregnant with Jeff's child. I feel Jeff would protect his unborn child. He has 5 children. The prosecutor didn't want that told in court. It was an election year as well, and they just wanted a conviction. The word was put out that semen was found, but that was a lie.
We now know why the Guardian wasn't asked to testify, she said all along that Jeff didn't kill Natalie. She was bound by law not to talk to anyone , but by court order recently she has been able to tell her findings, and she has said again that Jeff didn't kill Natalie. Something was used to make it look like Natalie had been raped, no evidence of any DNA to connect Jeff.
There is a case where a woman did something to her daughter to make it look like a man had killed her daughter, but she was the one. I read the case.
I want to know what upset the mother's mother that she drove to Charleston and admitted herself to Fenwick Hall. No evidence to have put Jeff through 15 years for something he didn't do. I have been through a lot because of it, and so has his grandparents and children.
That's one thing Zack Osborne was Jeff taking care of them. His mother wasn't so upset that she couldn't take care of him that he ended up with his grandparents. People you need to read the news papers, articles about Pat not showing any kind of griel nor being upset over her daughters death. I have pictures of her at the grave, my mother and I were crying, not her.
You figure it out, it doesn't take much.
I know Jeff didn't kill Natalie. I will prove it
