Romney Testifies in Favor of State Death Penalty

BOSTON --Gov. Mitt Romney insisted on Thursday that no innocent people would be executed under his plan to return the death penalty to Massachusetts, but acknowledged that he could not guarantee that the plan would be completely foolproof.

Countries Retaining Death Penalty Fail to Give Details of Executions, UN Says

Despite calls to countries retaining capital punishment to be transparent about their executions, United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan's latest report on the use of the death penalty worldwide laments the absence of a full accounting for death sentences and their consequences.

I am so intrigued by this death penalty system in Massachusetts that insists that "no innocent people would be executed". Let's laugh together. Come on. How can you guarantee that when the system is so flawed?

No innocent person will be executed except when fools are involved. A comforting thought.

The article neglects to mention why Romney is in favor of the death penalty.
