U.S. Supreme Court will take up Kansas death penalty
TOPEKA — The U.S. Supreme Court will take up the Kansas capital punishment case to decide whether the state’s death penalty must be fixed or whether it may be reinstated.The court’s decision, announced this morning, means the death sentences of John E. Robinson and six other convicted murderers have a chance of being reinstated after the Kansas Supreme Court struck down the death penalty last year.
The court won’t hear oral arguments until at least October.
