After the success of our nationwide Viewing Parties for Deadline’s NBC broadcast, July 30th 2004, we decided to continue our efforts of bringing the film and grassroots awareness of America’s capital justice system to people’s living rooms.

Hosting a Viewing Party for friends, family and community members can be a powerful way to spread the word and promote the discussion of criminal justice issues.

It’s easy to host a Viewing Party. Here are some directions and tips:

Buy the DVD. It’s available online and includes special feature interviews with the filmmakers and various characters in the film.

• Let us know about your party plans. Email us the following information:

Phone
Address, City, State, Zip
Event Public or Private (public events will be posted on our website)

• Find an appropriate venue. Your home, your church, your office…all you need is a DVD player and a screen.

• Invite people to your event. Send a quick email using our easy to fill out form: or write one of your own. If you would like us to post your Viewing Party on our website for people in your area to attend please email us all necessary information.

• Download a Discussion Guide. It’s free and a very useful tool.

• Send us feedback. We want to know how your party went and what you think about the film. Email us a quick, post party report and chances are, your Viewing Party feedback will be posted on our website. Pictures are also encouraged!

Important Legal Note: When planning your screening of Deadline, you are legally prohibited from charging an admission fee. If you are another nonprofit, you may ask for (but not require) donations to supplement the costs of your event.
