Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano (D) strongly favors the death penalty.

How many people are on Death Row in my state?
There are currently 126 prisoners on Death Row in Arizona. Of the 126 Death Row prisoners, 13 are black, 90 are white, 19 are Latino, 3 are Native American and 1 is Asian. The Attorney General’s Capital Case Commission released its interim report in August 2001. The commission was set up to examine the fairness of Arizona’s death penalty.

Was anyone on Death Row ever found innocent in my state?
Six innocent people were exonerated on Death Row in Arizona. Jonathan Treadway was released in 1978 after serving 3 years, John Henry Knapp was release in 1987 after serving 13 years, Jimmy Lee Mathers was released in 1990 after serving 3 years, James Robison was released in 1993 after serving 16 years, Robert Charles was released in 1995 after serving 14 years and Ray Krone was released in 2002 after serving 10 years.
