Does my state have the death penalty?
Yes, however New Hampshire has not had an execution since 1976. New Hampshire state law makes the death penalty available in limited cases: the murder of a police officer or judge, murder for hire, and murder during a kidnapping, rape or some drug crimes.

What is my governor's position on the death penalty?
Governor John Lynch (D) has no recorded record on this issue but has stated that he will veto any bills that come before him that will change the current laws dealing with capital punishment.

How many people are on Death Row in my state?
New Hampshire is the only state that has the death penalty statute yet currently has no one on Death Row.
